I love "If". It scrolls at the bottom of my blog since the past years, now.

My mom makes tea for our maid everyday and she insists she sit on our dining table after she finishes work and have her tea - of course using the same crockery that we use ourselves. My mom never had a maid until she had an operation and we decided she should not be doing heavy household work.

I respect the sweepers, the janitors, the canteen boy, waiters, drivers etc. as much as I respect my colleagues and super ordinates at office.

I am sure there are more like us. Not everyone's bad, you know.

[...] Rohini doesn’t think India is spiritual: I am proud of my country for her rich culture and her brilliant minds, her natural beauty and her tireless history. But that is as far as I will go. I cannot bring myself to tout her spirituality in that holier than thou way until I am convinced that we even understand the meaning of the word and have a hope of living it to some small measurable degree. A holy river, a few holy men and women, yoga, – that is not spiritualism. [...]
