The major fun in watching soaps is in sitting together to laugh, cry and criticise the fare. Even if one were to watch them alone, the episodes get discussed when people meet - in the office, on the bus, in the temple, on the beach, wherever. Families that watch TV serials together, stay together! Being glu-ed to TV has a different meaning in India! I’ll be truly amazed if online TV shows work!
