This website started out as an attempt to provide a channel where Indian Americans like me could share our thoughts on political, cultural and social issues that most concern us, covering both our Indian roots and our American lifestyle. Over time, this has become my personal blog which traces the arc of my own passions and interests. Occasionally, I will invite someone to guest post.

About Me

After graduating from IIM Ahmedabad in 1989, I blundered around in the world of high finance at ANZ Grindlays and American Express for 5 years. Jumping at the chance to take a break, I followed husband Basab Pradhan to the U.S. when he joined Infosys. Many years and two kids later, I found my calling as a writer. I write frequently for India Currents, the leading Bay Area Indian-American magazine. I was its editor till February 2012.

I also write children’s stories, some of which have been published in India. Currently, I am writing a young adult adventure book. For exercise, I enjoy straining my eyes playing online scrabble, scratching my head solving Sudoku and walking my dog Korra.
